The City is also the regional center and county seat for Endabatsahima, the second largest county in the central zone (by area).<\/p><p>The City of Edagaarbi is comprised of just over 24 square killometers nestled at the base of the Awunetshima. It is surrounded by one of the largest mountains forests on Earth. At nearly 3,000 feet, City of Edagaarbi is also one of the highest elevation cities in Tigray.<\/p><p>City of Edagarbi drew its name from a shopping made in the area,,,.\u00a0 The City is a year-round mecca for visitors.<\/p><h3>History<\/h3><p>The monastry of saint Tsihima is located at the peak mountain &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/p><p><span class=\"l_ecrd_txt_pln\">Edaga Arbi is a town in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia, 42 km south east of Adwa. It is the administrative and economic center of the Werie Lehe woreda. Edega Arbi is mainly known for its monastery. There are also several radio stations. The library has several publications for reference.<\/p><h3>Economic Information<\/h3><p>City of Edagaarbi is a governmental, educational, transportational, cultural, and commercial center. Government is one of the largest employment sectors. Tourism\u00a0 also a large employer as the City sees over 10,000 visitors per year.
